Free Shipping Program for eBay Sellers
If you are an eBay seller, you have to wear many different hats in order to operate a successful business. Daily operational tasks — preparing and posting listings, collecting payments, shipping sold orders and relisting unsold items – often steal time away from focusing on the best methods to run your business.
Free – No Subscription Cost for Goods Sold Through eBay
Fortunately, Stamps.com has developed a new method for eBay sellers to save time and money on shipping methods and preparation. The company has launched a new free program for eBay sellers that allows them to print shipping labels easily by importing all of their eBay order data into the Stamps.com software. Once the order data is loaded in the software, they can either batch print all of the day’s shipping labels or print each shipping label individually.
eBay sellers will have access to the great shipping features that Stamps.com offers, including hidden postage, discounts for Priority Mail and Express Mail, and Customs forms integration. Plus, sellers will be able to use features that aren’t available elsewhere.
Unique Stamps.com Shipping Features for eBay Sellers:
- Print First Class Mail International: Other online shipping programs require eBay sellers to upgrade to Priority Mail International. Stamps.com allows you to print First Class Mail International labels. An example: an eBay seller sending a 3lb package to Japan could ship the package for $24.52 via First Class Mail International – a 27% savings over the cost of $33.50 for Priority Mail International.
- Send All Sizes of Priority Mail Flat Rate: Other online shipping programs only offer the medium-sized Priority Mail Flat Rate box. Having access to the other options could be a huge savings if you have smaller or larger products to ship.
- Discounted Package Insurance: Stamps.com customers get 10 percent off package insurance and do not need to drop off their package at the Post Office. Other online shipping programs do not offer insurance discounts.
- Insure packages up to $2,500: With Stamps.com, you can buy package insurance up to $2,500 in value. Other shipping programs have a low $500 limit. Many eBay sellers are forced to split their packages into multiple shipments due to the lower $500 value limit or accept the risk for content values over $500.
- Batch Printing: Stamps.com allows eBay sellers to batch print up to 1,000 labels at a time. Other online shipping programs limit you to batch print only 50 shipping labels.
Customers using the Free eBay program can upgrade to a paid subscription plan to utilize Stamps.com’s other mailing and shipping features, such as printing postage on envelopes, importing data from Amazon, Yahoo! Stores, Google Checkout or their own shopping cart in formats such as CSV, Excel or XML.

if you click on the promo code there is automatically an ebay promo code shown
Is the Free eBay service still available. When I click on the link I do not see any reference to the service.
I have signed up for the ebay program with no problem. All i need to do is delete cookies and history browser. It works.
I had the same problem. When I tried signing up for the free eBay progam, the page that appeared said I was signing up for the free trial period and the monthly charge would kick in after 4 weeks. I cleared my cookies before hitting the link to the eBay page, so that doesn’t seem to be the problem.
Is there another way to sign up for the eBay program?
I think I’ve found the answer is yes, what label do I need for FCI?
@Debbie
Hi Debbie, you will ll need to call our customer support and discuss this problem further — Stamps.com Support at 1-888-434-0055 (open 6am to 6pm PT). That error message you see (error 80040415) usually only happens when an account has already been closed.
I have been trying to log into my Free Ebay account. Everytime my password goes through I get a message pop up that reads to check my “status” and correct the problem. I cannot find “Status” anywhere so I have no idea what the problem is. Also, I noticed that the postage I put on my account is gone.. My account shows ZERO… When I log out and log in again, I get this message: •We are experiencing technical difficulties at this time and can only provide limited functionality (COM error 0x80040415). At this point I am very frustrated. Where can I find the “status” and where is my money?
Thank you in advance
figured out how to do everything but link to usps pickup is wrong. I had the required international package for pickup but the window said I did not have proper items for pick up. Had to go to the usps site to do it…worked but would have been easier.
@Space Station Video Games
Yes, you can schedule a free USPS carrier pickup through Stamps.com software.
To set up a package pickup, please:
1) Click “USPS Pickup” in the left navigation bar.
2) Select the prints that you wish to include in the pickup request by checking the boxes in front of them. This will activate the “Schedule Pickup” button.
3) Click “Schedule Pickup.”
4) Enter in the following information:
– Number of Express Mail pieces
– Number of Priority Mail Pieces
– Number of International mail pieces
– Number of other classed mail pieces
– Total weight of all packages in pounds
– Location package(s) will be left for carrier
– Any special handling instructions
5) Click Submit. You will see a screen confirming the pickup date.
@Janet Boozell Hi Janet, You may need to clear your browser web cookies first if you have been to our regular home page first.
To clear your cookies in Internet Explorer:
Go to “Tools” then “Internet Options” then “Browsing History” and then “Delete Cookies”.
Then go to http://www.stamps.com/ebayfree1/
You should be able to sign-up for the program. Note: It will ask you for your credit card. That is for your postage purchases.
Can I arrange to have my packages pickup through STAMP.COM?
@Eric Nash
I CANNOT get to the free page which you have in blue. Even though I paste the address in, I am taken to the regular (paid) program sign-up page.
@Emily
Hi Emily, If you signed up for the free ebay program, you should not be charged any monthly subscription fee ever. The program is 100% free (except you have to pay for postage) as long as you import your eBay sales data via the batch process. BTW…The batch process is the only method that should appear in the software. You should have signed up at a page that looks like: http://www.stamps.com/ebayfree2/
If you signed up for our regular program via http://www.stamps.com, you would have signed-up for our 4 week no-risk trial. Important! We only have a no-risk trial — it is not a “free trial.” If you dont cancel the service inside of the 4 weeks, you’ll be charged for the first month of service.
If you do cancel the service during the 4 week trial, you wont be charged anything.
Hope this helps clarify the two programs.
I tried to sign up for this but it stated as I imputed my credit card that the first 4 weeks are free, then a monthly free.
I thought it was 100% free?
@michele mangham
Hi Michele, With Stamps.com you can print postage for Postcards using any one of the following methods:
#1 Print a NetStamps label and apply it to your pre-addressed postcard. This is done using the Stamps tab.
#2 Print on Stamps.com’s 3-Part Internet Postage labels (SDC-3100), which include postage, delivery address, and return address. This address information can be imported into your Stamps.com Address Book. Then simply apply these labels to your postcard. This is done using the Envelopes tab.
#3 Print delivery address, return address (optional) and postage directly onto four or more of Stamps.com’s PC Postcards (SDC-1400) at a time. This is also done using the Envelopes tab. See more details on using PC Postcards in the http://www.stamps.com/support site. Type “pc postcards” in the search box.
