New Stamps.com Plug-in for QuickBooks software (BETA)
Stamps.com has exciting news for all our customers who use QuickBooks accounting software. As you know, QuickBooks is the most popular accounting program for small businesses throughout the US. While our current QuickBooks plug-in for the Stamps.com software allowed you to easily import addresses into the Stamps.com software to print postage, we still received many customer requests to build a deeper integration into the actual QuickBooks software.

Quickbooks Plug-in Requirements (BETA): download-plugin
— Need to be a registered Stamps.com customer.
— Must have the latest version of Stamps.com (8.6.1).
— Must be using QuickBooks 2005 or later.
— Need to be Admin in QuickBooks. If not Admin, you’ll need Admin to authorize the plug-in before you see it.

Download the QuickBooks plug-in now!

Print Postage Without Ever Leaving QuickBooks
After months of work, Stamps.com is happy to announce the launch of a new plug-in for the QuickBooks program. The plug-in will add the “Print Postage with Stamps.com” option inside your “File” menu inside QuickBooks. This will allow you to buy and print postage directly inside the QuickBooks software without ever having to leave the accounting program. There is no need to cut & paste or manually type any data — the plug-in will automatically utilize your existing delivery address data that is stored in QuickBooks and import it into the Stamps.com postage printing window!

Questions?  Get more info on the new Stamps.com QuickBooks plug-in. No additional hardware or equipment is required.

Once you download the plug-in from Stamps.com, you’ll be able to buy and print postage for all USPS mail classes including International postage. You’ll also be able to add special services such as Certified Mail to your mail piece. Printing postage for a particular invoice will be as easy as opening the invoice, selecting the correct mailing address and clicking the “Print Postage with Stamps.com” option.

When attempting to print postage to an envelope within QB Pro 2012 I do not have the option for a #10 envelope.  I tried to create a custom envelope and it printed fine except that there were no vertical bars near the postage.  Am I doing something wrong?  Why is there no #10 option in the add-on?

    Hi Leticar897,

If the Quickbooks application is being used by multiple user and two users are currently accessing the same invoice, you would encounter that error message.

When Stamps.com attempts to write information to the particular invoice it is unable to, since the invoice is currently open by another user.

Could this be the situation in your case? Please let me know.
    Thanks!

any one having issues when posting back tracking information on to invoice or sale receipt using stamps.com plug in for quickbooks?  Sometimes works just fine, even changes the status of the invoice from pending to us mail but sometimes gives me this error:  “There was an error adding, modifying or deleting F1053-1328908755 because it is already in use. Quickbooks error message: The transaction could not be locked”. Every time that I get this error message is a different long number (My guess is that is a transaction number). Help!!!!!

Hi Akidderz, Right now, Stamps.com only works with QuickBooks software and does not work with QuickBooks online yet. Unfortunately, I dont have any type of ETA as to when/if we will be adding QuickBooks online to the integration.
    Thanks!

    Hi Cynthia,

Yes, after installing the Stamps.com QuickBooks plug-in, you are able to use the plug-in in the multi-user mode inside QuickBooks.

However, in QB 2011 you will not able to use the plug-in in “multi-instance mode” which allows the user to have multiple companies open at once. This is a feature unique to QB 2011.

    Hope that helps!
    Thanks!

I cannot get any labels to print on a Eltron LP 2442 or Zebra ZP 500 printer. It says the ZP 500 is unsupported. For the LP 2442, it says the label won’t fit.

    Hi Cathy,

I believe just the for the install of the plug-in if you are running QuickBooks on a Windows 7 or Windows Vista Operating System. You will need to log into your QuickBooks as an administrator the first time for the Stamps.com plug in to run properly.

This is a one time requirement and you do not have to be logged-in as administrator on subsequent uses.

To get more info, please call our support team at 1-888-434-0055.
    Thanks!

I just heard about this add-on recently and I must say that it can certainly help users with their work process. Quickbooks is just one of the nonprofit accounting software that most NPOs use.
