International Carriers Announce Further Service Disruptions

Today, March 31, 2020, the USPS received communications from international carriers regarding service alterations due to coronavirus. Bolivia
Agencia Boliviana de Correos has suspended all inbound and outbound mail services until April 15, 2020.

Italy
Poste Italiane has announced new changes to mail services. Effective immediately, if a recipient cannot be contacted, items can be returned to sender after the first delivery attempt. Packages that exceed 25 kg in weight or 120 cm in length will not be accepted. These restrictions do not apply to donations. Lastly, due to lack of transportation, Poste Italiane is suspending service to several locations.

Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyz Pochtasy has suspended all outbound international mail services until further notice.

Peru
Servicios Postales del Perú – SERPOST S.A, has extended the suspension of all mail services to April 12, 2020.

Zimbabwe
Zimpost has suspended all operations until April 19, 2020, or until government notice.
