Available on the “Batch” tab, customers who import their ecommerce orders from popular marketplaces like Amazon, eBay and PayPal can now print packing slips alongside their shipping labels.  Packing slips will show Order Date, Billing and Shipping Address Info along with Item ID, Description and Quantity for up to ten products.  Packing slips have been one of our most requested features and we are very excited to add this feature to Version 8.8.

New Feature #2 – Ship Without Delivery Confirmation

While Delivery Confirmation is free for Priority Mail and tracking is free for Express Mail, the USPS charges $0.19 for Delivery Confirmation for First Class Packages, Parcel Post and Media Mail (if you purchase Delivery Confirmation at the Post Office, the cost is $0.70-$0.80).  Previously, all eligible shipping labels were printed with Delivery Confirmation regardless of whether or not the service was included for free.  Based on customer feedback, we have made the $0.19 Delivery Confirmation for First Class, Parcel Post, and Media Mail an optional service in the Version 8.8.

New Feature #3 – Customize your Shipment Notification Emails

version-8.7We are pleased to announce the launch of Stamps.com Version 8.7 – a free upgrade for Stamps.com customers!  Here are some of the major new features included as part of PC Postage Version 8.7:

International Shipping Insurance

Available at the same discounted rates as domestic insurance, Stamps.com now offers insurance for international shipments up to $2500 in value.  International shipping insurance from Stamps.com is an inexpensive, easy way to ship any international USPS mail class worry free.   With Stamps.com, you can insure packages to any country that the USPS delivers to with insurance prices starting at just $2.03 for insurance of up to $100.  Stamps.com will even keep a record of all of your insured shipments, to help make filing a claim as easy as possible.  To get started using international insurance, just enter an amount in the “Insure For” field when preparing any domestic or international mailpiece.

Support for international SCAN forms

Now when you drop off international packages off at the Post Office, you can quickly obtain proof of mailing by checking your items in with Shipment Confirmation Acceptance Notice (SCAN) forms for international packages.  SCAN forms are a great way to show to your customers their package has been dropped into the USPS mailstream, which is particularly important for international mail because of its longer delivery times.  To get started, simply print out all of your packages and then follow these SCAN form instructions.  SCAN forms are also available for domestic shipments.

Batch Shipping Improvements – Including Item Description Import

We’ve worked to make batch order fulfillment from eBay, Amazon and other marketplaces easier than ever by adding some great new features.  Now you can import item descriptions as part of the Stamps.com batch interface.  Additionally, we’ve added the ability to print on more media types using batch and we allow for address cleansing during import.  Another great feature is that you now have the ability to ship multiple orders to the same recipient as a single batch shipment order.

Stamps.com Video – Ecommerce Shipping Made Easy

November 15th, 2019 1 comment

We’ve recently created a new shipping video that showcases how easy it is for ecommerce sellers to import sales order data from the top marketplaces such as eBay, Amazon, Yahoo! Stores, Google Checkout, PayPal or even your own shopping cart using Version 8.5.  This process completely eliminates the need to manually input any address data.

Batch print up to 1,000 shipping labels or print individually
Once the sales order data has been imported into Stamps.com, printing USPS shipping labels can be done with just a few clicks.   You can batch print up to 1,000 labels at a time or choose individual labels to print.  Stamps.com Version 8.5 will also automatically post-back shipping details including tracking numbers and delivery info into your eBay or Amazon store.

Other Great Shipping Features Such as SCAN Forms & Priority Mail Rate Discounts
Along with importing sales order data from multiple marketplaces, Stamps.com also provides other great shipping software features such as hidden postage, integrated customs forms, USPS acceptance SCAN forms and Priority Mail rate discounts plus much more.

Connect Your eBay or Ecommerce Account to Stamps.com
Are you a regular seller on eBay? Do you operate an ecommerce store in Yahoo Stores or use PayPal or Google Checkout as a payment option for product sales? Stamps.com’s latest software – PC Postage Version 8.5 — is loaded with great tools to help online sellers manage their package shipping program in a better, more efficient manner.  Version 8.5 lets you import your sales order data directly from the most popular ecommerce platforms and then use one interface to process and ship all of your packages.   So if a business owner is selling products on eBay and also via their own web site, Version 8.5 will allow them to easily import order data from eBay and their shopping cart, and then use the Stamps.com interface to print all of their shipping labels.

Along with Yahoo Stores, eBay, PayPal and Google Checkout, you’ll also be able to import order data in various other formats including CSV, Excel, Access or XML.  Data can also be imported with SQL database or Oracle® via an ODBC connection.   Once the your order data is imported into Stamps.com, the Postal Analyzer checks to make sure that your shipping instructions and order data match, which eliminates the chance that you’ll send out the wrong product.

Package Tracking Numbers Post-Back to eBay or Amazon Accounts
Once your packages have been shipped, Stamps.com will automatically post-back the shipping details and a tracking number to your eBay or Amazon accounts. This feature will allow your product buyer to track the delivery activity on their new purchase.

Ship Globally with First Class Mail International
Stamps.com also saves money for you and your customers. PayPal and USPS’s Click-N-Ship force you to upgrade to Priority Mail International if you are shipping overseas, but Stamps.com will let you print postage for the more economical First Class Mail International. For example, if you had a 2 pound package going from Los Angeles to Paris, France, you would save $12.11 (41% discount) per parcel by using First Class Mail International instead of using Priority Mail International*.

More Shipping Features Added
Stamps.com Version 8.5 also features a New and Improved User Interface.  Some of the highlights are:

  • View all your orders and keep a track of how many orders remain to be shipped.
  • Process Domestic and International Shipping from a single interface.
  • Make inline edits and receive real time error feedback when orders are not ready to be printed.
  • Search all your orders by any field.
  • Make changes to orders and save your changes for processing later.

Version 8.5 includes some other important shipping upgrades. In an upcoming post, we’ll discuss the new ODBC connection features and how it can help business owners.   Download Stamps.com Version 8.5 now!

* Price comparison is based on 2 lbs. package mailed from Los Angeles, CA to Paris, France September 19, 2009.   Rate for First Class Mail International was $17.64 and rate for Priority Mail International was $29.75.

New Features of Stamps.com Version 8.0

September 24th, 2014 9 comments

Stamps.com has released Version 8.0 of its software, and it’s better than ever. The new version of the software is packed with features including online reporting, the ability to submit e-refunds for international labels as well as much more.  Read on for the details:version-8.0

Online Print History
The new version of Stamps.com allows you access to your online postage purchases and print history from any computer connected to the web. At home and need to see if that important package was sent?  No problem.  All you have to do is log-in to your account online and you’ll see all the details – from what labels were printed to how much postage was purchased for a select time frame.

End-of-day processing of free USPS pickups and SCAN forms also can be scheduled and monitored online. This feature will be very beneficial for companies that have multiple employees printing shipping labels.   All the employees will be able to manage their postage and shipping needs from their workstation and then an office manager can complete the end-of-day processing from a completely different workstation.

E-Refunds for International Shipping
Previously, Stamps.com customers who needed a refund for international shipping had to mail in the NetStamp or shipping label along with a completed form to Stamps.com’s headquarters within 30 days of the postage print date. Version 8.0 eliminates that hassle by letting you submit the request through your software.   Now you can log in to the software, view your print history and select the label that was misprinted.

SCAN Forms for Express Mail
With Stamps.com Version 8.0, , Express Mail packages can now be scanned using the US Postal Service’s SCAN form program.  The Shipment Confirmation Acceptance Notice (SCAN) form program is a summary page with a bar code that includes all of your packages being sent on a particular day.      Once you give your packages to a USPS employee to be shipped, that person will scan the bar code on the SCAN form to show that the Post Office has accepted all the packages in your shipment.  This feature will make it easy for you and your customers to track packages from the start.

Not all Stamps.com plans offer the SCAN feature. If your plan doesn’t have it, contact Stamps.com for an upgrade.

Return Shipping Labels
Version 8.0 now makes it easy to have packages shipped back to you. Just locate the original label you used to ship the package to your customer in your print history and request a Return Shipping Label.   The software will create the return shipping label as a PDF which you can then email to the customer.
