Ernst & Young recently announced that Stamps.com Chairman and CEO Ken McBride has received the 2014 EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ Award in the Business Services category for the Greater Los Angeles area.

The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in areas such as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

Ken McBride was selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was presented at a 700 person black-tie Gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on June 17, 2014.

Now in its 28th year, the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards Program has honored the inspirational leadership of  such entrepreneurs as Howard Schultz of Starbucks Coffee Company, Pierre Omidyar of eBay, Inc., and Mindy Grossman of HSN. Recent US national winners include Reid Hoffman and Jeff Weiner of LinkedIn; Hamdi Ulukaya, founder of Chobani; and 2013 winner Hamid Moghadam, CEO and Chairman of Prologis.

Now in its 31st year, the 2013 Software Magazine 500 is an annual, revenue-based ranking of the world’s largest software and services companies targeting medium to large enterprises, their IT professionals, software developers and business managers involved in software and services purchasing. Forbes’ annual list of the 100 best small companies in America highlights organizations with the strongest growth amongst all industries. Candidates must be publicly traded for at least a year, generate annual revenue between $5 million and $1 billion and have a minimum stock price of $5 a share. The rankings are based on three factors: earnings growth, sales growth and return on equity in the past 12 months and over five years.
