Ten International Postal Services Announce Altered Service

Cape Verde
Correios de Cabo Verde has advised that serious delays for both inbound and outbound are expected until further notice.

France
La Poste has advised that, until further notice, delivery standards cannot be guaranteed. Additionally, effective Monday, March 30, 2020, only items weighing less than 15 kg and with a maximum size of 12.5” x 9.4” x 9.4” inches will be delivered.

Germany
Deutsche Post has suspended mail services to international destinations where transportation is not possible. A full list of affected destinations can be found here. Additionally, inbound items requiring payment by the recipient will be immediately directed to a postal outlet for collection. Recipients will receive a notification directing them to the postal outlet that is holding their item.

Hong Kong
Hongkong Post has suspended the signature on delivery requirement to limit human contact. If an item that would usually require signature is unable to be delivered, the recipient will receive a notification with instructions to collect the item at a post office.

Iceland
Iceland Post is currently unable to send postal items to any countries outside the European Union, except for Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Liechtenstein, Norway, Russian Federation, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

New Zealand
New Zealand Post has announced that due to lack of transportation it is unable to provide outbound international mail services to a number of destinations. Additionally, normal delivery standards cannot be guaranteed at this time.

Panama
Correos de Panamá has announced that all categories of inbound and outbound mail are suspended until further notice.

Romania
CN Poșta Română SA has suspended all inbound and outbound international mail services in cases where transportations networks are unavailable.

Russian Federation
Russian Post has advised that it is currently unable to guarantee delivery standards; customers should expect delays.

Ukraine
Ukrposhta has suspended the requirement for written proof of delivery in an effort to minimize human contact. Registered items will be left in the recipients’ mailboxes with the exception of summons. Ukrposhta cannot guarantee delivery standards at this time.
